Sharese Casteen
    Sharese Casteen, 48, died August 25, 2009, at Ogeechee Area Hospice in Statesboro.  She was a native of Evans County.  She was a member of Hagan Baptist Church and was pianist for 18 years.  She taught piano for a number of years, and was a loving wife, mother, and best friend.  She was past president of the Christian Home Educators Association.
    She is survived by her husband, Dirk Casteen of Claxton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Morgan and Dustin Hutto of Hazlehurst and Megan and Ben Helmuth of Claxton; two brothers, Joey (Bootsie) Threatte and Gregg (Jennifer) Threatte of Claxton; two sisters, Selina (Tim) Pewitt of New Jersey, and Yolanda Threatte of Washington, D.C.; one grandson, Jonathan Hutto; and several nieces and nephews.
    Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Friday, August 28, at Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial was in Bay Branch Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
    Remembrances can be made to Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home, P. O. Box 1056, Claxton, Georgia  30417, to assist with funeral expenses.
    Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home of Claxton, Georgia, was in charge of the arrangements.
