Ella M. Carswell
Ella M. Carswell, 79, of Reidsville died Monday, November 2, 2009, at The Doctors Hospital of Tattnall in Reidsville. She was a member of St. Phillips Baptist Church in Reidsville. Her parents are the late Jake B. Eason, Sr., and the late Adel Eason. She was united in Holy Matrimony to Artis Carswell, Sr., who preceded her in death.
She is survived by four loving children: Annie Ruth (Collis) Costen of Collins; The Rev. Artis (Janice) Carswell, Jr., and Van Louis Carswell, both of Reidsville; and Gracie Mae (Harry) Williams of Campton, Florida; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Bessie (Moses) Forest of St. Augustine, Florida; and Helen (Donald) Donaldson of Miami, Florida; five brothers: Don and Jack Eason, both of Miami, Florida; Robert Lee Eason of North Carolina; and Jerry and Jake Eason; and several other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 5, at 11 a.m. at St. Phillips Baptist Church in Reidsville. Burial will be in the Sandhill Cemetery. There will be no viewing and no wake services, and the body will be placed in the church from 9 a.m. until the hour of the service.
King and Sons Funeral Home of Glennville, Georgia, is in charge of the arrangements.
