Mickey McCrary Joseph Michael “Mickey” McCrary, 60, of Jesup, died Wednesday, October 21, 2009, after an extended illness. He was a Methodist, and an employee for 37 years with the Environmental Division of Rayonier of Jesup. He was an avid outdoorsman, joke teller, Bulldog fan, and loved dancing, singing, and being a “Papa.” He was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. J. L. and Marian Walker McCrary. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Diane Anderson McCrary of Jesup; son and his fiancée, Michael McCrary and Beckie Kennison of Waycross; daughter, Danna McCrary and David Finn of Jesup; two granddaughters, Madilyn and Elaina Finn of Jesup; sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Dr. Ronny Harris of Jesup; brother, Patrick McCrary of Statesboro; parents-in-law, Edwin and Ulma Lee Anderson of Glennville; siblings-in-law: Lori and Jerry McDaniel of Jesup; Patty A. Kicklighter of Lexington, South Carolina; and Danny Anderson of Rincon; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 23, from the Rinehart & Sons Chapel, with Dr. Julian Tucker officiating. Interment was in Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Will Murphy, John Westberry, Mike Stuckey, Neal Anderson, Danny Anderson, Butch Meyers, Kevin McCrary, and Jason Harris. Honorary pallbearers were Steve and Peggy Harlen, John and Karen Swingle, Dennis and Rita Davis, Jeff and Mavis Rosback, Glen and Claudia Smith, Kevin and Joyce Malone, Chris Jones, Fletcher and Rosemary Stevenson, employees of Environment Department of Rayonier, 1967 Jesup High School classmates, and Dennis and Faren Crews. Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home of Jesup, Georgia, was in charge of the arrangements.
