Wayne Kicklighter
Richard Wayne Kicklighter, 70, died Wednesday, November 25, 2009, at the Veterans Hospital in Dublin. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, and a retired lineman from Ft. Stewart.
He is survived by his wife, Hazel Kicklighter of Cobbtown; son, Richard Kicklighter of Glennville; daughter, Jessica D. Kicklighter Tapley of Reidsville; stepchildren: Joseph C. Jarriel of Ellabell; Dewy Lee Jarriel and Joyce M. Prewitt of Collins; Wanda June Parnell of Cobbtown; and Debra Ann Hassol of Manassas.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 1, in the Chapel of Wood Funeral Home, with Chaplain David R. Julian officiating. Burial was in the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glennville, with military honors.
Pallbearers were Doug Hassol, Roger Prewitt, Charlie Anderson, Larry Moody, Cecil Rich, and Jimmy Hughs.
Wood Funeral Home of Metter, Georgia, was in charge of the arrangements.
