Kevin M. Geary Kevin M. Geary, 61, formerly of Glennville, Georgia, and Waltham, Massachusetts, died Sunday, November 15, 2009, at the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth, Massachusetts. He was the son of Edward and Anne O’Neill Geary (now deceased). He was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, on March 14, 1948. He served in the Marines during the Vietnam War, and was later employed as a police officer for the City of Waltham, retiring in 1987 as a Sergeant. He received a Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling. After receiving his degree, he was employed as a Rehabilitation Counselor, specializing in addiction recovery. He was preceded in death by a stepson, Michael Callanan of Glennville; and sister, Niale “Jerry” Geary. He is survived by his wife, Marie L. (Ronne) Geary; daughter, Meaghan K. Geary of Stoneham; stepchildren: Deborah M. O’Brien of Hanson; Scott D. Callanan of Boyton Beach, Florida; and Elizabeth M. Callanan of Taunton; sisters, Mary Beth Butler of Belmont; Catherine Cook of Waltham; Virginia Routhier of Augusta; eight grandchildren; and 14 nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 7 p.m. Saturday, November 21, at Sullivan Funeral Home in Hanover, Massachusetts. Interment was private. Memorials may be made in Kevin’s memory to Prostate Cancer Foundation, 1250 Fourth Street, Santa Monica, California 90401.
