James Scarborough
    James Ira Scarborough, 96, of Jesup, died Tuesday, September 22, 2009, in the Golden Living Center after an extended illness.  The Appling County, Georgia, native was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church, the Sr. Adult Sunday School Class, and he loved his Lord.  He was a farmer; a member of Jesup Masonic Lodge #112, F.&A.M.; and a retired employee of Waynline, Inc.  He played many musical instruments, and was an avid nature watcher.  He loved assembling miniature cars.  He was preceded in death by a grandson, Joseph Edward Scarborough.
    He is survived by his wife of 74 years,  Rosa Lee Daniel Scarborough of Jesup; four daughters:  Sheila (Bill) Rogers of Jesup, Dot (H.E. Duke) Ellington of Tifton, Beth (Rickey) Mallett of Chatsworth, and Deborah (J.C.) Arnett of Kingsland; a son, James Ira “Buck” and Eve Scarborough of Jesup; a sister, Ethel S. Faircloth of Savannah, formerly of Glennville; two half-brothers, Homer Scarborough and Olin Scarborough, both of Jesup; a half-sister, Nolie Jean Vann of Jesup; six grandchildren:  Kyle Rogers, Tollis Bond, April Hughes, Amy Blount, Clae Ruggles, and Travis Austin Ellington; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
    Funeral services were held Friday, September 25, from Rinehart & Sons Chapel, with the Rev. Charles Manning, the Rev. Ronnie Vice, and the Rev. Vann Dempsey officiating.  Interment was in Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery.
    Pallbearers were Jimmy Brown, Dean Brown, Rickey Brown, Bob Scarborough, Dale Scarborough, and Gary Coursey
    Rinehart & Sons Funeral Home of Jesup, Georgia, was in charge of the arrangements.
