"Voicing the community's opinions"

Because I work out of town, I, too, would like the board minutes to be posted on the BOE website.  Even though the papers seem to adequately summarize the board meetings, I’d like to know if my board member is present and exactly how she votes/stands on issues.

To the principals and teachers who are so unhappy with things in Tattnall County - I say, go back to the county you live in, pay taxes in, and spend your money in.

Does anyone know someone who can talk/rub a wart off? I saw it done twice in my lifetime, and I just wondered if there was anyone left who can still do that?
Editor’s note:  Look for a story on this in several weeks.

I just want to sincerely thank you for leaving a message on our answering machine about the recent events in our community, and to all at City Hall and Police Department: Thank you for all your support. This is a great community to live in! Thank you!
I would like to know why we’ve got principals who are coming back as principals who are retired. They’re drawing their retirement checks as well as full-time pay as principals. Why are students and teachers allowed to walk with cleavage showing, but no one can wear tank tops or sleeveless blouses to school?

I am so happy that the Sew Happy Quilters have invited Lanette back to teach a course on machine quilting. We’re all going to learn how to use our sewing machines to quilt a quilt. They’re going to meet at GUMC on Saturday, April 10, at 9 a.m. Everyone who wants to quilt should come on and reserve a spot by calling 654-1399. Can’t wait!

Why is it that when a parent calls in with legitimate concerns and complaints, when you call into the school board, and more specifically, the bus shop, why is it that you get attitude and not some results, or at least some commitment to try to work with the parent?
