Edward Marshburn
James Edward Marshburn, 64, died Wednesday, October 21, 2009, at Candler County Hospital in Metter. The Tattnall County native had lived in Savannah for many years, moving back to this area five years ago. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying camping, hunting, and fishing. He retired from Great Dane Trailer Company, and was a member of Birdford Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ezelle and Ossie Mae Weathers Marshburn; and brother, Joe Wilson.
He is survived by his former wife, Marie Marshburn of Bloomingdale; sisters: Annette Groover and Tillie DeLoach of Glennville; and Martha Guy of Townsend; brother, Gerald Marshburn of Glennville; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, October 25, at Glennville Memorial Gardens, with the Rev. Vance Riggins officiating.
Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home of Glennville, Georgia, was in charge of the arrangements.
